📋 Ivatt Self Storage – Facility Rules

🕒 Gate Access & Security

• Access hours: The site is open 7 days a week, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Smart entry: Only registered customers with active digital access are permitted past the main gate.
• Locking up: You are responsible for ensuring your unit is fully locked and secured before leaving the site.

🚫 Prohibited Items (What NOT to Store)

• Living things: Live animals, pets, plants, or anything that requires soil or water.
• Hazardous materials: Flammable liquids (petrol, diesel), gas canisters, fireworks, or toxic chemicals.
• Weapons: Firearms, dangerous weapons, or active ammunition.
• Valuables: Cash, deeds, high-value securities, or expensive jewellery (safes or banks are better suited for these!).
• Perishables: Food or unsealed provisions that could decay and attract pests.
• Illegal goods: Stolen items, controlled drugs, or unlicensed/counterfeit goods.

🔋 Modern Battery & Appliance Rules

• Lithium-Ion batteries: E-scooters, e-bikes, or large portable power banks over 160 Wh are strictly prohibited unless the battery is removed.
• Appliances: White goods (fridges/freezers) must be fully defrosted, clean, and stored turned off with the doors left slightly ajar to prevent mould.
• No heaters: The use of portable plug-in heaters inside units is strictly banned.

🚗 Around the Site 

• Speed limit: Please observe our 5mph speed limit at all times while driving on site.
• Loading areas: Keep communal pathways and vehicle lanes clear so other customers can load and unload.
• No modifications: Do not drill, nail, or attach anything to the walls, floors, or doors of your unit.
• No sleeping: Storage units are strictly for belongings – living or staying overnight in a unit is not permitted.
• Take waste with you: Please do not leave unwanted items or rubbish in the corridors or courtyard.
